  1. 28th Annual Sherman Indian High School Inter-tribal Pageant and Powwow:
    We would like to invite the public to join us in celebrating our 28th Annual Inter-tribal Powwow on Saturday, April 20th, 201. Our Powwow will be held on the campus of Sherman Indian High School at 9010 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA 92503. At the Ira Hayes Football Stadium.
    We will have invited Native American color guard groups participating along with our Sherman Eagle Staff Carrier TBA in our grand entries at 12:00pm and 7:00pm.
    From 1:00pm to 3:00pm our school’s historic museum will be open for self guided visits.
    Arts and Crafts vendors and Indian food Booths will be ongoing all day from 11:00am to closing. Many of our school clubs will be fundraising as well as community artisans and groups.
    There will be gourd dancing by invited our Gourd Society from 10:00am to 12:00pm and again from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
    From 11:00am to 4:00pm in our Culture Awareness Area we will have basket weaving and other traditional arts demonstrations. Culture Sharing, story telling and a Dance Presentation from Toveema Dance Group. There will also be several non profit Native American service and cultural booths available to bring resources and culture awareness to the public.
    We are expecting many inter-tribal dancers from the Southern California area to participate in the grand entries; inter-tribal’s and contests. During dinner break from 4:00pm to 6:00pm we will have entertainment from the Champion Hoop Dancer Terry Goedel, Native American flute music by SIHS Student Linton Ethelbah, Bird Singing and Dancing, culture sharing by the Sherman Indian High School students, Native Jazz Man Randy Plummer and the Xipe Totec Danza Azteca. After sundown there will be on-going fireside Bird singing and dancing from the local tribal community on the east end of the football field.
    The gates open for the public at 10:00am and the Powwow will be ending at 11:00pm. Parking is a $3.00 donation to the Senior Class Club. All proceeds from Powwow after cost will go to SIHS Senior Scholarships.

  3. Tried the link to the flyer but did not come up can you Facebook the flyer to me? Under my name; did not find your event on FB, that would be a great way to advertise, making a FB page for the event.
