Join us for Wichita Public Schools Title VI Native American Indian Education Programs Annual School’s Out Pow wow. Come support Native American students in our community who work hard organizing, running, and participating in this powwow.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME! FREE EVENT!
Two Contests! Women’s cloth and buckskin and Men’s Fancy Dance
Prizes for each category –
1st place – $500
2nd place – $300
3rd place – $200
Students in the Title VI program will participate in several ways including acting as a student master of ceremony, student arena director, participating at the drum, color guard, set up, and more! We will also crown our 2024-2026 Title VI princess.
2:00pm-4:30pm Gourd dancing
4:30pm-6:00pm Dinner break – free traditional meal while supplies last
6:00pm Grand Entry
50/50 Raffle hosted by the Native American Program Parent Advisory Committee
