We will be honoring our First Chief Howard (Gene) White Bull Norris. Michael Jacobs, Cherokee Recording Artist, will be our special guest. There will be Luck of the Draw Dancing Contests, Intertribal Dancing, Demonstration of Cherokee Social Dances, Story Telling, Games for all ages, handmade crafts, raffles, and barbecue, chicken, shrimp platters and sandwiches. Admission: $5.00 (Adults), $3.00 (3-17), FREE (2 and under).

      Hi. I’m sorry, but we are not a resource to search for family history. I (personally) recommend looking on ancestry.com or checking the internet for a Genealogical and Historical Society in a town close to where you think the Reservation might be. The people who run those places are usually friendly and willing to help you look up information. Sometimes, they even offer a service you can pay for where they will do all the research for you. You might also try going to a Pow Wow and talking to one of the elders there to see what they recommend.

    I need finding out my grandmother’s spelling of her lazr name. I am from oklahoma, my grandmother is from coweta oklahoma. I am actually doing research about our people. I want to keep our ancestors and heritage, language, and culture alive . Our people matter and they deserve it!
