  1. We have never been to a Pow wow. We found this on the web in South Carolina in October. Would you please give us a little more info about this. what all is involved. Can any one attend. Is there an Indian reservation there. can we visit it. any thing else you think that we would be intrested in. thank you very much

  2. BlaxDam says:

The Catawba Indian Reservation is in Rock Hill, SC. About 3 hours drive north of Cayce, SC. Cayce, SC is mixed tribe lands, this is where the Festival will take place, for two days. We’re expecting, “Friendly” Indian Tribal members from all over the Americas. The Flyer, (attached) gives details about the event and all around great information about what to expect from this Pow wow. A Gathering of friends and family “Native American Cherokee Trail River Festival”,

    Oct 10th and 11th 2015

    Open to the Public

    10:00 am Until 5:00 pm

    Sat and Sun

Bring chairs to sit and relax or stand and dance around the dance, (Regalia style) circle. Wear walking shoes for walking and “food” is vendor “State Fair” food court style. Art and Craft, sales and shows. Fun for the entire family, with a museum and “story telling” history time.

The Drum circle gets loud so, to sit close, come early!

We hope this helps answer you,

    Best regards, Blax

Lots of crafts, Cherokee demonstrations from the old ways. Story Telling. Crafts. Let you child play a drum, shake a rattle. Join the dancing. Bring a chair or a blanket. I want to meet you all!! I have received several calls about if this event has been canceled or not? Please update the information for this event, for the public here.
I have given your number to them.
      Thank you,
      Jerrie Hunter

      • Jerrie Hunter says:

That this event has been canceled due to bad weather condition from last week and the grounds are damaged. And some roads to the location are also unable to travel on.
That this event will be reschedule at a later date.
