Friday, 11/8/2019 – Cultural Program, 9am – 2pm

*  We are offering classes at the pow-wow, for a small fee, to cover materials and labor, in the areas of: Dreamcatchers, Beadwork, Corn Shuck Dolls and Earrings.  Please let us know right away if you, your group, family and/or friends are interested.  Also what day and time.  We ask that you make an appointment if you would like to participate in a class (es).  Please e-mail us stating the time, class interest, day and number of classes you would like to take.

Saturday, 11/9/2019 – 10am – 7pm

Sunday, 11/10/2019 – 10am – 6pm

The Pow-Wow portion of the Pow-Wow will kick off on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10am when the gates open to the public. Grand entry is noon Saturday and Sunday. The pow-wow will kick off with a parade of nations (grand entry) at 12:00 noon. Tribes represented at this year’s event include: Haliwa-Saponi, Pamunkey, Piscataway, Chickahominy, Rappahannock, Cherokee, Sioux, Iroquois, Lumbee, Hopi, Mattaponi, Nansemond, Choctaw, Navajo, and so many other Tribes and nations.

The public will be able to visit with, and buy from some of the best arts and crafts vendors/ demonstrators in the United States. Items for sale include turquoise jewelry, moccasins, beadwork, rugs, books, and paintings to name a few. Renowned fine artists and jewelers will be represented at this year’s event. Face painting will be available for children and others. We will also have a make it and take it crafts area.

Buffalo stew, Indian Tacos and buffalo burgers are just a few of the delicious Native American food items that will be on sale at this year’s event. American fare such as hot dogs and burgers will be sold too.

Admission is: Saturday-Sunday: Ages 3-12 are $6; Ages 13-up are $9.

This is a rain or shine event, we are inside this year at Henrico Hall!!!
