Gate opens 9:00AM; Grand Entry 12:00pm
Saturday Closing 5:00PM; Sunday Closing 4:00PM
Prior to Grand Entry the singing of the Nation Anthem will be sung in English followed by Amazing Grace, sung in Cherokee, by Victoria Matheny.
There will be Native American Dancing to the Drum beat of Walking Thunder drum team (Cherokee).
Headman will be Johnny Rains and Head Lady is Cricket Waddell.
On site will be Cabot Barden (Cherokee), author of several books on the Native Americans. He is also a song writer and musician. Cabot is listed on America’s ‘Who’s Who’.
Performance by the Aztec Dancers from Tennessee with their beautiful Regalia and Tradition Dance will give the attendees an insight to the South American Indians. This is a ‘NO MISS’ performance.
Lyndon Alec (Alabama-Coushatta), premier Hoop Dance will perform! Lyndon has appeared at several locations overseas and in America.
Vendors will be on-site with their hand-made Native American items.
Demonstrations of Flint-Knapping by Joe Collings (Cherokee) and Arrow making be George Denmark (Cherokee).
A Free Blow-Gun booth will be available for the children as well as a ‘Candy Dance’.
Attendees can participate in Inter-tribal dancing.
A 20′ TiPi will be set-up by Rowland Matthews (Cherokee) for the attendees perusal.
Seating is LIMITED. Bring your Blankets/Chairs and enjoy the Songs of our Ancestors.
Admission: Adults $8.00; 6-14 and 65+ $3.00; Family $15.00 (limit 5); Military, First Responders, Dancers, EMTs & Nurses Free; Donation Accepted
