This 2 day Pow wow will be held on land at Noccalula Falls, 1500 Noccalula Rd, Gadsden, AL. Noccalula Falls is one of the largest tourist attractions in Alabama.
This Pow wow (Native American Festival) will bring together both Indians and non-Indians for two days of entertainment and education in the ways of the Native American. The entertainment and education will be in the form of Native dancing, drumming, singing, demonstrations of basketry, making of stone tools/weapons by Joe Collings and the ability to see and shop for hand-made items.
Also featured, the Aztec dancers from Mexico to demonstrate the culture of the Aztecs of Mexico and their beautiful regalia. Entertainment will also be provided by Lyndon Alec, Hoop Dancer, from Livington, Texas. Also on site will be Cabot Barden, he is a Musician, Song writer and Author of books on the Native Americans. He is listed on America’s ‘WHO’s WHO. A ‘Demo’ of Maya dancing will be presented by Pedro Juan Manuel.
The American Indian Pow wow is an educational and cultural event for the adults and children. Attendees will enjoy the drumming and songs of our forefathers, the dancing of the participants, children’s activities, the traditional and contemporary Indian dress and the artistic talents of the American Indian Nation as well as the culture and dance of the Aztec. These all serve as classical role-models for our youth, as they are our future cultural resource.
Our emcee (MC) is knowledgeable in all aspects of Native America Dances and the Pow wow Drum songs and with humor, will keep the public entertained.
The Arena Directors (AD) controls all the dancers and their entrance into the dance circle and insures they are in the proper order when needed.
The Headman/Lady are responsible for leading any dances that are designed for group participation.
The Drum, considered to be the heartbeat of the earth, provides the songs and beats of our ancestors.

Food and drink are offered, including Fry-Bread, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Hispanic drinks and snacks and Fresh Lemonade.
