Hosted in partnership with indigenous community organizers, the Triangle Native American Society, NC Museum of History, City of Raleigh Museum, Dix Park Conservancy, the City of Raleigh and the Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh.
Experience a day of competition dancing, music, vendors, and fun showcasing the incredible legacy and culture of Indigenous communities living in North Carolina today. Special performances to Alexis Raeane and Charly Lowry. Invited drums are Smokey River and Warpaint. Host Drums are Southern Eagle and Stoney Creek.
Tribal citizens are welcomed to sign up for our dance competitions. The COVID safe and preferred method to signup would be to visit dixparkconservancy.org/powwow. Registration will also be available day of from 10am-11am on the Big Field.
Adult categories are for ages 18+. Teen categories are for ages 13-17. Youth categories are for ages 5-12. Tiny tots are ages 0-4.
