About the 2023 Native Nations Festival
2023 Native Nations Festival – FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – Rain or Shine!
Come join the Seven Generations of Stewards, Inc. 501(c)(3) for the 2023 Native Nations Festival. Immerse yourself in Native American culture by participating, learning, and having a great time! This interactive pow wow offers live drumming and singing, storytelling, intertribal teaching, hands on Native games, food, vendors, and more! Free and open to the public, rain or shine.
Come join Master of Ceremonies Louis Mofsie’, the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, the Nahui Ollin Aztec Dancers, Leeora White Native American story teller and the Old Bridge Singers, and much much more. Visit our vendors to not only purchase some awesome goods, but talk to them about what they have to offer.
Talk to our Spiritual Elder and Grandmother Enolia “Changing Times Woman” Foti and past chief of the Clan of the Hawk Abenaki and Grandmother Donna Huether.
Come see our Tipi and sit for a time inside of it to experience what life is like living in one.
Our horses will once again, grace grand entry and be on site for the duration of the festival. Come learn about the different breeds and ask questions.
The Festival will be held at the “Y at Watson Woods” (formally Watson Homestead) located at 9620 Dry Run Road in Painted Post New York on Saturday 9/16 from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday 9/17 from 9 am to 4 pm with the grand entry at 10 am both days.
This program is funded in part by Humanities New York with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities; the Corning Foundation; the Committee on Native American Ministries; the Corning Native American Council; the Corning Global Latino Organization, Once Again Nut Butter, and the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and partners including the Rockwell Museum, the Y at Watson Woods, Sweetwater Equestrian Center and the Western New York Side Saddle Association.
