An opening ceremony will include a medicine tie ceremony. If you would like to participate in this, please have a small piece of cloth cut into a square available (4 or 5 inches by 4 or 5 inches is fine), a pinch of traditional medicines (tobacco, sage, sweet grass, cedar as examples- use whatever medicine/s you have in your area.) If you don’t have any you can still get the blessings by watching and listening.

Cultural Sharing and Talent Showcase Night
Each night will be a two-hour Cultural Sharing and Talent Showcase Night. We will go Live on NWI’s Facebook page so that more people can watch and be inspired by our young people. Each young person or youth group will either go Live or will submit a video, 5 minutes maximum in length. Either way, please email [email protected] to let us know if you would like to participate by going Live or submitting a video. We will need your name, tribe/organization, what your cultural sharing or talent will be and if you will go Live or submit a video. A confirmation email will be sent and the order of cultural sharing/talent will be provided. Songs, dances, stories, flute playing, sharing crafts and more will be welcomed.
