On the third weekend of August from Friday, August 17th to Sunday, August 19th, the Cape Croker Park will be host to the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation’s Annual Traditional POW WOW. Starting on Friday, August 17th we will have our Annual Musician’s Night (FREE Admission) and as usual, we plan to end the night with a bang – a fantastic fireworks display. Saturday, August 18th marks the first day of the POW WOW and Sunday, August 19th will wind down the weekend. POW WOWs are a sacred gathering of indigenous peoples to honor the past, renew friendships and celebrate with music, song, dance, prayers and storytelling. Traditionally held in the spring, POW WOWs are also a celebration of the end of winter and the rebirth of nature. Come and experience the dazzling display of traditional dancers in brilliantly colored regalia representing legends and teachings. Listen to the beat of the drum and songs about warriors, respect and life passed down by the elders for generations. Come and sample native cuisine and view the many authentic native crafts, such as paintings, carvings, bead work, and jewelry. With the help of all in attendance, we can make the 2018 POW WOW – a POW WOW to remember.

        1. Is there available place to stay for a night?
        2. Is there a public transport from Toronto to Crocker park?
