About the Thunder In The Pines Pow Wow 2025
Thunder in the Pines Pow Wow hosted by the Ma-Chis Lower Creek Indian Tribe of Alabama will be held October 24–25, 2025, in Elba, AL (2950 County Road 377).
Gates open at 8:30 AM both days with Grand Entries Friday (9 AM & 2 PM) and Saturday (12 PM & 6 PM).
Dance categories include Northern & Southern styles (Straight, Traditional, Grass, Fancy, Chicken, Woodlands, Jingle).
Categories range from Juniors (7–12) through Seniors (55+), with over $12,000 in prize money.
Host Drums: Pine Lodge, Young Waters, and Medicine Tail.
Admission: $5 per person; Kids 12 & under $2; Veterans with Military ID & Dancers in regalia FREE. Vendors & dancers welcome.
Host Hotel: Best Western Opp Inn (Powwow rate available).
