About the Whispering Giants Intertribal Pow Wow 2023
December 2, 2023
This is a first event that we are looking forward to creating into an annual event. Cleveland and the entire Ocoee area is rich in Native American history from before the Removal. We are a permanent museum and cultural center which showcases the history of this beautiful location. Sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Authority, our intertribal powwow is open to all..Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike…to share, learn, and fellowship. FREE ADMISSION FOR ALL!
We will showcase Native American dancing and drumming, including speciality dances and the ability for dancers in regalia to register for Luck of the Draw to have a chance to win cash prizes. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION POWWOW. The public will have many opportunities to enter the circle during intertribal dances. We will also have Native American craftsmen, traditional foods, Native flute players and storytellers, and more.
