Hi Crossroaders, A quick update. Gus is doing well. He has been reeanmd Gromit and he has really come out of his shell. He’s a very playful youngster and we’re enjoying having him in the house. He’s in good shape and gained a little weight from building muscle. We’ve started obedience class and are having lots of good walks. House breaking is going well, he’s only had the occasional accident. He now understands sit, down, and stay.. He is having fun with his toys and can entertain himself and us by playing with two tennis balls. He’s doing well with guests in the house and our neighbor’s kids. He’s getting used to the idea of a bath. Now that he can sit, stay and wear his life jacket for a bit, we’ll see how he does in the canoe. Today he had to learn that socks on the drying rack are not toys, but he did have fun distributing them about the house. He definitely has Beagle since he sounds like one when he’s vocal. So thanks again for giving him a new start. We’re very lucky. Attached are a couple of recent photos, a this point he was still a little uncertain of the life jacket. We hope all is well and best wishes for the good work that you all do.Sincerely, Charlie, Nancy and Gromit
