This spectacular 3-day event is NYC’s largest Pow Wow and one of the top ten in the USA. It features intertribal Native American dance competitions by over forty Indian Nations. The Grand Entry showcases the dancers full regalia and The Sunset Lighting of the Bonfire is an enchanting event. Program features an expansive market of authentic Native American art: paintings, crafts, jewelry, weavers, embroidery, pottery, leather, feather & bead work, moccasins and huachas, drums, regalia, handmade art on items, herbs vintage items and food (fry bread, barbecue, Indian tacos) Celebrate The Thunderbirds’ 63th Anniversary Preserving American Indian Culture at the 47th Annual Grand Mid-Summer Pow Wow at Queens County Farm Museum 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park, NY 11004-1129 (718) 347-FARM Gates open at 5pm Events take place 6pm-10pm on Friday July 24, 2025. Overnight Accommodation: Dancer RV’s must be moved into the South parking lot at pow wow opening and overnight.
All cars must drive 5mph at all times on Queens Farm grounds and vehicles must be parked and stationary before spectator entry times! No exceptions. Free Admission for Registering Participating Dancers with Regalia. Free meal Saturday at 5pm for Dancers and Vendors.
Spectators Admission:
1-Day Pass: $19; $12 (Children ages 2-12)

Proceeds go to Thunderbird American Indian Dancers Scholarship Fund and Queens County Farm Education Fund: Students send Letter of request for university, college or trade school attention to: Michael A. Taylor. Everyone who loves and respects this family event is welcome. Annual, Traditional, Contest Powwow with Specials: Gourd and Hoop Dance, Social Dances: like Rabbit and Round Dance, and Iroquois and Smoke Dances
Guests like: Thunderbird Hoop Dancers, Smoke, Yaqui Deer Dancers;.
Crafts, Demonstrations & Vendors: Only Authentic Native American items and food: Leather, Bead & Feather work, Wampum, Mayan weavers, Regalia and Dance Items, Silver, Wearable and Usable One of a kind Art, Turquoise and Shell work and Native Foods, Moccasins, S.W. Pottery, Hand Crafted Instruments, Crafts Supplies, Books, CDs, DVDs, Embroidery, Native Sculpture and Contemporary Art, Drums, Crafts Demonstrations.
Native American Indian Craft Supply Vendors in demand. Limited booth space in the Orchard while availability lasts.
Farm members are eligible for this program. Select “ have a membership” during checkout to apply discount.
• Bonfire is lit on Friday and Saturday nights just after sunset 8pm weather permitting.

• Free event parking and bicycle racks available.
• Farm grounds and restrooms a accessible.
• Limited straw bale seating a Visitors encouraged bring lightweight, portable seating to this event. QueensFarm is not responsible for personal items.
• Strollers, backpacks and bottled water are permitted on grounds. No alcohol permitted on pow wow grounds in the orchard.
• No designated storage for backpacks, or other personal items.

DANCER REGISTRATION: Free Admission for Registering Participating Dancers with Regalia. Free meal Saturday at 5pm for Dancers and Vendors. In person dancer registration Friday 5-7pm (significant points given for Friday Grand Entry and specials), Saturday after 11am. Contest dancers must register by Saturday 1pm. Although the majority of contest points are given Saturday and Sunday, participation points will be awarded for Friday night dancing. Contests will run rain or shine. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Contest prizes awarded by category.

By Car: Grand Central Parkway to Exit 24 South (Little Neck Parkway) or Long Island Expressway (495) to Exit 32 South, to Farm Entrance Gate. Free Parking available at the Farm.

Subway/Bus: E or F Train to Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens station. Transfer to eastbound Q46 bus to Little Neck Parkway. Walk 3 blocks north to Farm Entrance Gate.

Long Island Railroad: To Floral Park or Little Neck Station, where car service is available.
• Advance tickets recommended as tickets are limited. Online tickets available. A ticket is required to enter powwow and craft/food market
• Event features dance performances and American Indian Craft & Food Market. Additional fees apply for food & craft vendors (prices vary), hayrides ($6/person), and additional activities. ATMs available walking distance at bank or deli on Union Turnpike.
• Bonfire is held sundown on Friday and Saturday nights between 8-9pm, weather permitting.
