Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Inc. Celebrates 60 Years!!! This spectacular 3-day event is NYC’s largest Pow Wow and one of the top ten in the USA, says Indian Country Today. It features inter-tribal Native American dance competitions by over forty Indian Nations. The Grand Entry showcases the dancers full regalia and The Sunset Lighting of the Bonfire is an enchanting ceremony. Program features an expansive market of authentic Native American art, crafts, jewelry, dolls, pottery, leather, feather & bead work, drums, regalia, vintage items and food (fry bread to venison) Celebrate Specials with The Thunderbirds’ 60th Anniversary Preserving American Indian Culture at the 44th Annual Grand Mid-Summer Pow Wow at Queens County Farm Museum 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park, NY 11004-1129 (718) 347-FARM Gates open at 6pm Events take place 6pm-10pm on Friday July 28, 2023. Overnight Accommodation: Dancer RV’s must be moved into the parking lot overnight.
All cars must be parked and stationary before spectator entry times! No exceptions.

DANCER REGISTRATION: In person dancer registration Friday 5-7pm, Saturday after 11am. Contest dancers must register by Saturday 1pm. Although the majority of contest points are given Saturday and Sunday, participation points will be awarded for Friday night dancing. Contests will run rain or shine. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Contest prizes awarded by category.

DIRECTIONS:
By Car: Grand Central Parkway to Exit 24 South (Little Neck Parkway) or Long Island Expressway (495) to Exit 32 South, to Farm Entrance Gate. Free Parking available at the Farm.

Subway/Bus: E or F Train to Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens station. Transfer to eastbound Q46 bus to Little Neck Parkway. Walk 3 blocks north to Farm Entrance Gate.

Long Island Railroad: To Floral Park or Little Neck Station, where car service is available.
• Advance tickets recommended as tickets are limited. Online tickets only. A ticket is required to enter powwow and craft/food market; however there is no gate fee to enter farm grounds.
• Event features dance performances and American Indian Craft & Food Market. Additional fees apply for food & craft vendors (prices vary), hayrides, and additional activities. There is no ATM on site.
• Bonfire is held on Friday and Saturday nights between 8-9pm, weather permitting.
